Jaaang, intro!
In 1st semester, i've through out 4 chapters, those are :
1. basic learning : `how to differentiate popular and scientific resources`
2. medical ethics and humaniora
3. biomolecular (it's like learning about DNA, RNA, micro-thingy like cell, ribosomes, etc)
4. metabolism, nutritions, and medicine (talked about diet, balance nutrient, sindroma metabolic, dll)
AND NOW! i've been in 2nd semester! やったああああ~!
My last subject about endocrine. It's first time we, medical student of Sebelas Maret University 2010, entered Lab of Histology and Patoligic Anatomy.
Now, we focus on tyroid glands and the abnormalities.
Fuaahhhhh, kinda confusing to learn about HISTOLOGY! (eyeroll)
BLANK.
it's only an abstract spectrum, whether you're asked to differentiate which is normal and which is not.

This is normal thyroid
Follicle filled with colloids
There're some thyroid abnormalities :
1. Struma Colloides
2. Struma Basedow
3. Struma Hashimoto (sounds cool)
4. Adenoma Thyroid
5. Carcinoma Thyroid
Should i explain them? *yawning* (i'm sleepy, and it'd be hard to explain in English XD)
1. Struma Colloides (Colloid Goitre)
Enlargement of follicles which is consist of colloids. FYI, it doesn't form any nodules.

Macroscopic

Ideal Microscopic
2. Struma Basedow (Grave's Syndrome, Parry's Syndrome, Exophthalmic Goitre)
Autoimun, usually marked with exophthalmus, hyperplasia, hyperthyroid, and hyperfunction of thyroid glands.
TRIAS BASEDOW: hypertyroidism, infiltrative ophthalmophaty (by exophthalmus), and Infiltrative dermophaty.
Exophthalmus

Macros

ideal micro : an increase of colloid resorbsi,
well then round vacuole formed (white round in violet colloid)
Autoimun, Hypothyroidism, happens to :
- mostly woman
- age of 45 - 65 years

Macro

Micro : this is what i capture on microscop XD
(there're Azkanazy and limfosit cell)
4. Adenoma Thyroid
An benign tumor., hyperthyroidism.

macros

micro
5. Carcinoma Thyroid -> malignant tumor
There're some types :
- Carcinoma Pappilare (75% - 85 % cases)
- Carcinoma Folliculare (10 % - 20%)
- Carcinoma Modulare (about 5% cases)
- Carcinoma Anaplastic (less than 5% cases)
But we just learned about C.pappilare

macros

ideal micros
what we got under microscope

Various Picture we got under microscope (but, silly! i forget to rename the photos xp)

Hashimoto
carcinoma
